Reader's View: Invasion of Ukraine a lot like Iraq War

When war-aggressor Russia warns America about sending weapons to Ukraine, that is the same as war-aggressor America warning Iran about supplying weapons to Iraqi insurgents.

Joe Biden claiming Vladimir Putin is guilty of genocide seems strange after the Iraq situation. But what if this was the definition of genocide?: “The systematic, planned annihilation of a racial, political or cultural group — with exception to any racial, political, or cultural group in the Middle East that endlessly is attacked and butchered by America; then genocide is never, ever possible.”

Wow, I will never doubt President Biden again.

When war-aggressor Russia warns America about sending weapons to Ukraine, that is the same as war-aggressor America warning Iran about supplying weapons to Iraqi insurgents.

And figure this out: Russian soprano Anna Netrebko cannot sing at the Metropolitan Opera because she will not denounce this Russian war — that she did not start and with which she has no involvement.

But here is Biden, who did help start a murderous war, that’s just like this Ukraine war, getting to keep his job; he doesn’t get canned like the Russian soprano, and she never started a war! In 2003, any U.S. singers at the Metropolitan Opera better have been fired if they did not denounce the Iraq invasion. Even the opera folks seem to want to be part of this American war hypocrisy. They instead should stick to singing and leave the war hypocrisy to Washington and our state-manipulated media.

It is not possible to claim a legitimate reason for starting a war — not even a mistaken reason like Iraq has weapons of mass destruction. Someone please explain to me how the Iraq War ever existed with its freedom to kill. To say that all you need for a war to exist is armed conflict is Stone-Age thinking. Neither the U.S. in Iraq nor Russia in Ukraine are at war with anyone.
