Reader's View: In Iraq, US no better than mass shooter

Reader's View.jpg

The “American Sniper” in Iraq, a U.S. soldier named Chris Kyle, was given the green light to gun down any Iraqi man of military age. The U.S. government apparently believed it was free to kill people based on nothing more than ethnicity.

The U.S. government’s approach to killing Iraqis was the same as the El Paso gunman’s belief that he was free to kill Hispanics, based on nothing more than them being Hispanic.

In both situations, it’s the same racist sickness.
