Reader's View: DNT, stop pretending Stauber a moderate

Will Forum Communications apologize for endorsing Rep. Pete Stauber for being part of the same effort to subvert the democratic process and install an incompetent autocrat against the wishes of the voting majority?

The Orlando Sentinel on Dec. 11 apologized for endorsing Florida Rep. Michael Waltz in the fall election after Waltz proved he “was not committed to democracy,” as the newspaper said of his support of the Texas lawsuit that sought to overthrow the election (“ US Supreme Court swiftly ends Trump-backed Texas bid to upend election results ,” Dec. 11).

Will Forum Communications apologize for endorsing Rep. Pete Stauber for being part of the same effort to subvert the democratic process and install an incompetent autocrat against the wishes of the voting majority? Forum’s endorsement was published in the News Tribune on Oct. 21, headlined, “ Reelect Stauber to help lead economic rebound .”

At the very least, will the News Tribune stop pretending Stauber is a moderate, reasonable, nonpartisan Republican?
