Reader's View: Constitution requires that we be moral
Please read the Bible and attend Bible-based churches.
It is outrageous that the News Tribune continues to publish letters critical of our good congressman, Rep. Pete Stauber.
It is tragic when wealthy people use their wealth to control events in our country. Wealthy people don't seem to think they need God. Some wealthy people who are prominent in politics have head knowledge of who God is but don't have heart knowledge. They are harsh and deceitful and do not obey God's commandments.
There are many Bible-believing Christians in our country. We all need to pray for our country and our leaders. Our founders were moral men. Our country is not perfect, but it is the best there is in many ways.
Our Constitution requires that we be moral people. Please read the Bible and attend Bible-based churches. God created us and He loves us. His commandments are intended to guide us in honoring Him.
Readers' View and Local Views
Letters are limited to 300 words, must be the original work of the author and must be exclusive to the News Tribune. Letters are edited for style, space, accuracy and civility.
Letter writers are limited to one published submission every 30 days.
With rare exceptions, the News Tribune does not publish poetry; letters that are anonymous, libelous or attack other writers; consumer-complaint letters; thank-you letters; or letters generated by political or special-interest campaigns.
We will consider exclusive Local View columns of 600 words or fewer. Authors should possess unique insights, and their commentaries should demonstrate greater knowledge of their subject than letters.
