Why did President Donald Trump cross the road to St. John's Episcopal Church? To get to the other side ? To have a photo opp? To borrow a cup of bleach? To try and prove he isn't a chicken?
Ever since Trump won the Electoral College vote (not the popular vote), there have been numerous times when we were certain he couldn't go any lower. Unfortunately, it seems about once a month he finds a new low. If he had carried out his threat to send the U.S. military to suppress protests without a request from a state's governor, that might have been as low as he could go. His threat to send troops certainly was further proof that Trump is, at heart, an autocrat who dreams of being a dictator.
