Republican politicians who voted for President Donald Trump in 2016, and again in 2020, are acting shocked and are finally saying he crossed the line. Where were they for the past four years?

Trump has been crossing the line since he started campaigning five years ago. In 2016, in Iowa, he said, "I could stand in the middle of Fifth Avenue and shoot somebody, and I wouldn’t lose any voters.” His lies; bigotry; misogyny; criminal behavior; tax evasion; and voter-suppression, violence inciting, and duty shirking behavior have gone unchecked with scant condemnation from Republicans for four years.

They are responsible for what happened on Jan. 6. They enabled and supported this behavior. It’s a little late, but Republicans, please, fulfill your oaths to this democracy and get rid of Trump now!
