The 2020 election is over, and my candidate lost. I now wrestle with how I should act.
My lower self shouts: “Let’s use the same tactics Democrats used for the past four years and sabotage the administration of President-elect Joe Biden even before the oath of office is given on Inauguration Day!”
In contrast, my higher nature tells me that in a democracy, the people call the shots and with this race, the people chose Biden over President Donald Trump. My better nature tells me to lick my wounds and move on. My better nature is to raise my glass and wish the president-elect and vice president-elect the best of luck in leading our nation for the next four years.
Oh, I wish Democrats would have practiced in 2016 what they are now asking the rest of us to practice in 2020.
