This is for all you one-man party GOP advocates. As a former GOP member, I have to say this nation has always been great.

For nearly four years, President Donald Trump has campaigned to convince himself that he truly won the election. Well, he did win — at the expense of hard news about the nation and the world.

Given to a zero-sum game of winners and losers, we have taken to the extreme the art of opposed-party politics. In a free-market system, both sides have a meeting of the minds and win.

Abraham Lincoln said in 1858 that a nation “divided against itself cannot stand.”

Prepare now for the recession of family farmers who will face the lack of the large market of China, given the tariffs and now the lack of trade due to coronavirus.

Mind the secret ballot, and vote your conscience in November. The stakes are high.
