The News Tribune Editorial Board found that an inexcusable error, from 114 years ago by one of our institutions, executions, makes a “good argument” against that institution today (Our View: “A rope too long a good argument against capital punishment,” Jan 26).

Of course, no institutions, inclusive of the media, would exist, today with such an idiotic guidepost. Ah, the neverending wisdom of editorial boards.

Enraged that he could not continue his relationship with 16-year-old John Keller, William Williams murdered both John and John's mother, Mary. These were details left out, of course, by the editorial board. The father/husband was not home at the time.
