Duluth voters have the opportunity to elect lifelong resident Mike Mayou for the City Council at large seat. Mike has experience being active in our community. In his youth he inquired to the city why there wasn’t a tennis court in the neighborhood. Also, in 2014 Mike helped his father Dave, a letter carrier, and coworkers with the event of keeping 6-day delivery. Last Grandma’s Marathon, Mike helped our Cub Scout pack’s water station. Mike as a technology intern for ISD 709 had worked on several school levy campaigns with Duluth for Education. Mike was the only candidate out of 3 to receive the Duluth DFL endorsement. He is endorsed by St. Louis County Commissioner Frank Jewell, Duluth City Councilor Em Westerlund, and State Representatives Jen Schultz and Liz Olson. There are candidates that work for a company or have business ventures in our city. Mike Mayou announced his candidacy early last February to serve us as our city councilor. Twenty years ago, a UMD graduate was elected to city council and went on mayor of our town. Give Mike Mayou the opportunity of your vote to serve as our Duluth City Councilor.
