For the months of May, June, and July, turtles will be full swing, laying their eggs.

There is a reason why turtles cross to the other side of the street. It's normally in the areas where there is water like creeks, ponds, rivers, and lakes.

For the safety of the turtles, if you see one while driving, please don't run it over. If possible, pull over and help it by taking it from the rear of the shell and placing it in the same direction as it was going but out of harm's way.

Do not pick up a turtle by its tail; this hurts the turtle.

And please do not take turtles home as pets.
