Why must the News Tribune continue to publish letters that are not factual and don’t contribute to the discussion of important issues that affect all of us?

An example was the June 29 letter, headlined, “All babies have the right to live.” That letter stated that abortion includes “killing babies even during labor.” But that is not abortion under any circumstances. Infanticide is murder, and murder is illegal. Those are the facts.

It would serve readers for the newspaper to better edit letters for accuracy, as stated every day on the Opinion page instructions for letter writers.
