Nothing seems to get under President Donald Trump’s skin more than knowing House Speaker Nancy Pelosi is outsmarting him, which happens pretty much all the time. That was evident when Trump stormed out of an infrastructure meeting after only three minutes and declared he no longer would cooperate with Congress until it dropped all investigations of his conduct. His apparent ignorance of Congress as a coequal branch of government is exceeded only by his seeming arrogance in assuming that he could restrict the range of its investigations. Such a childish temper tantrum is more befitting the tinpot dictator of a banana republic than the president of the United States.

Trump has resorted to his usual infantile name-calling, indignantly protesting that he doesn’t do cover-ups. Perhaps he should explain that to porn star Stormy Daniels and others he paid off to remain quiet about his affairs.

He maintains he has been completely exonerated by the Mueller report, clearly hoping no one will actually read it. But that report outlined many potentially impeachable offenses.

Trump tried to get former Attorney General Jeff Sessions to retract his recusal from the Russia investigation, with the apparent intention of restricting its scope. He fired former FBI Director James Comey and then bragged that the pressure of the investigation was off. He called White House counsel Don McGahn and directed him to have Mueller removed and then ordered McGahn to lie about it. He apparently tried to get former Trump organization executive Michael Cohen not to cooperate and later tried to undermine his credibility.

These actions clearly shout “cover-up!” Trump has proven that he is unfit for the office he holds. His bullying, bravado, and buffoonery are a disgrace to our nation.
