Dear Editor,
I want to thank Cara Lindberg for her article on the great work Companies to Classrooms is doing to help our local students, while saving the landfills. She did a great job describing how it works.
As a volunteer at C2C I have had the privilege of checking out the teachers. Every time I have been there I have heard the teachers sing the praises of C2C. They are very excited about the items they have found to share with their students. The fact that they are getting it for free makes them doubly pleased.
As well as helping with the store, I also serve as a volunteer board member for C2C. In that capacity I would like to add that C2C runs totally on donations. Both of the leaders, Mary Jo Jauert and Mary Beth Kjolhaug are working without compensation. There are expenses that need to be met in order to keep this resource open to the community.
All tax-deductible monetary donations are gratefully accepted and can be sent to Communities to Classrooms, 2307 W. Superior St., Duluth, MN 55806. Visit C2C at Companies to Classrooms Duluth on Facebook. If you wish to learn more call (218) 529-7728.
Mary Streufert, Duluth
