In regard to the front page article published on Aug. 7, "State Explains Affordable Care Act": I didn't know there was such a person as an "expert" on this 2,600-page Affordable Care Act. Did it take many years of study to achieve this level?
It must be a complicated 2,600 pages to have an "expert" explain it to us non-experts. To me, a non-expert, it sounds like a commercial for the Affordable Care Act. All good and no bad. I know I sound like an idiot, but who pays and how? For example, birth control is covered. Who pays? The act says all medical procedures are covered. Isn't abortion a medical procedure?
It was interesting that this "expert" couldn't or wouldn't explain "insurance exchanges." I would think (and here I sound like an idiot again) that anything mandated by the federal government should have an explanation by the "expert."
