Quick, what's one of the first things that comes to mind when you think about Duluth's Downtown Waterfront District?
For many individuals, it's the great variety and quality of restaurants that line the streets of our downtown.
That's why the Greater Downtown Council is excited to kick off a new event in May that focuses on one of the area's tasty strengths. Eat Downtown/Duluth Restaurant Week will allow diners to get a taste of their favorite restaurant, or try out a new one, all on a fixed-price menu.
Across the country, many downtowns have taken to spotlighting their dining establishments with a restaurant week campaign.
From Chicago and Charlotte to New York and Norfolk, this is a proven promotion with positive results. It generates a buzz, brings diners in the doors and provides an opportunity for participating restaurants to cross promote or -- no pun intended -- feed off each other.
And, of course, those are all ingredients to building a stronger downtown and boosting the economy.
As part of the Eat Downtown/Duluth Restaurant Week campaign, diners will find participating restaurants offering multi-course, fixed-price menus from May 10-16.
Lunches will be available at a $10 price point and dinner will be offered at $20 (a few are fixing their price at $10 for both lunch and dinner). And, with the following list of participating restaurants, we know you will walk away satisfied and ready to come back for more.
This is a perfect culinary showcase for our unique and distinctive downtown waterfront restaurants. So mark your calendars for lunch meetings, date nights and family nights during the week of May 10-16 as you won't want to miss out.
