The third of four candidate forums co-hosted by the News Tribune and Duluth Area Chamber of Commerce is scheduled for today at 10 a.m. Voters are invited to log in and watch.

Today’s forum features the race for two open At Large seats on the City Council, representing all of Duluth. The candidates are Azrin Awal, Joe Macor, and incumbent Terese Tomanek. A live online audience is limited to 100. To register to watch, go here (https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_8tIC7LHPQo-8dyBGomqW9g). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar.

Earlier this week, candidates for Duluth School Board took turns answering questions.

On Tuesday, the forums conclude with candidates for City Council from District 2 (which covers parts of eastern and northern Duluth) and District 4 (which includes Duluth Heights, Piedmont Heights, Lincoln Park, and parts of West Duluth). To register in advance for that forum, go here (https://us06web.zoom.us/webinar/register/WN_nukzOKmJRxuqEFM4AJcLYQ). After registering, you will receive a confirmation email containing information about joining the webinar. Attendance for this forum also is limited to 100.

The newspaper and chamber have been partnering to host candidate forums for at least 11 years as part of a commitment to help eligible voters in Duluth make informed choices. The forums also inform the News Tribune’s endorsement decisions. All the forums will be posted afterward for viewing any time, on-demand.
