Reader's view: Many men still just don't get it
The Dec. 4 letter, "Time to move on from sexual harassment," stated that, "Apologies have been uttered and restitutions have been made."
Really? How about a lot of excuses and denials also have been made? And how do you make restitution to someone who has been denigrated, humiliated, threatened, and used for the pleasure of another?
Before I got to the end of the letter, I knew it would be from a male writer because many men still just don't get it. With its statements, the letter showed empathy toward perpetrators. What could that mean about anyone who holds such beliefs?
