Walter Novacinski

Walter Novacinski, 91, of Cloquet, died Friday, June 19, 2020 at his home. He was born February 19, 1929 in Superior, the son of Alex and Celka Novacinski.

Wally served in the US Army from 1948 – 1951. He married Virgene Kloepher on February 11, 1954 in Barnum.

Walter worked as a machine operator for Potlatch Corporation and retired in 1996 after 51 years of employment. He enjoyed fishing, camping, traveling and doing many projects around the house. Wally was a member of the Potlatch Quarter Century Club, Hebert Kennedy VFW Post 3979 and Carl Anderson American Legion Post 262.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Virgene; sisters, Regina Pasko, Bernice Himango, Stella Esala, and Helen Meger; brothers, Louis, Henry, Stanley, Ben, Marion and Bernard.

Walter will be sadly missed by his brother, Zegment (JoAnn) and many nieces and nephews.

Visitation will be from 10:00 until the 11:00 a.m. Funeral Service, Thursday, June 25, 2020 in Atkins-Northland Funeral Home, 801 14th Street, Cloquet. Due to the current pandemic, masks and social distancing will be required while in the building. Burial will follow in New Calvary Cemetery.
