Shirley Ann Peterson

Shirley Ann Peterson, 87, of Duluth, departed this earthly scene and entered into her eternal home of joy and peace on Sunday Nov. 1, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. She was born on December 2, 1932 to Charles and Agnes Kyhos Sr. Shirley graduated from Mosinee High School in 1950, and married Leonard Peterson on November 15th, 1952. She worked for Northshore Bank until her retirement. Shirley was a member of the former Faith Lutheran Church and a current member of Gloria Dei Lutheran Church. She was a member of the Lakeside Women’s Auxiliary, Treasurer for the local AARP Chapter, and belonged to the Senior Women’s Golf league at Lester Park Golf Course. Shirley was an active church member throughout her life, she enjoyed golfing, cooking, and traveling including trips too Norway, Alaska, and Hawaii.

She was preceded in death by her parents, an infant daughter, and her husband Leonard.

She is survived by her children Brian (Peggy), Jeffrey (Sandy), Lori (Karl) Dordahl, and John (Jody), grandchildren Stephanie (Bronson) Wisniewski, Lisa (Garrett) Groebner, Matthew, Susan (Dustin) Oliver, Timothy (Stacey), Jonathan Drodal, and Lauren, greatgrandchildren Collen, Calvin. Blake, and Nash, sisters Wilma McHugh of Wisconsin Rapids, WI, Millie (Mel) Lilla of Mosinee, WI, and her brother Charles (Kathy) Kyhos Jr.

Private family services will be held on Tuesday November 10, 2020 in Dougherty Funeral Home. 600 E. 2nd Street, Duluth, MN 55805. 218-727-3555. Burial will be in Sunrise Memorial Park.
