Scott “Boo-Boo” Denny

July 11, 1956 - February 27, 2020.  Scott Edward Denny, 63, passed away from cancer peacefully  surrounded by family.  He was born in Duluth MN, son of John and Dorothy Denny, Brule, WI.

He grew      up in Brule enjoying sports and the outdoors.  He attended Northwestern High School and played basketball and football.  Somewhere in those years he was given the nickname “Boo-Boo“ which followed him forever. He loved the outdoors, swimming and canoeing the Brule River. Hunting deer and grouse with his father and friends.

After graduating Scott work for the railroad but soon took to the road and ventured around the country.  He settled in New York State becoming an Ironworker.  He was known for having a passion for busting rebar.  He was a handy man, always helping family and friends with projects.

Scott was a big man and loved being the center of attention, always a story or joke to be shared.  On his many trips back to Brule he could be found at the Kro Bar with a “Bud” in his hand and friends all around.

Survivors include his daughters: Renee Ranta, Andrea (Johnny) Reyes, Jackie (Chris) Sandberg; grandchildren; Adam, Heather, Marcus, Ryan, Madisyn, Gianni and Derreck; sister Jan (Bill) Meller.

Scott was preceded in death by his parents John and Dorothy Denny, and one brother Mark.

There will be a pot luck Celebration of Life at the Kro Bar in Brule on March 21st from 3 - 5pm.
