Robert Dwane Anderson

Robert Dwane Anderson, 84, of Duluth passed away peacefully on May 18th 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospice.

He was born January 4, 1936 in Duluth Minnesota to John and Eva (Downing) Anderson. Bob attended Duluth Denfeld H. S., prior to joining United States Army in 1954. He was stationed in Germany before being honorably discharged in 1956.

Bob was united in marriage to Beverly Bergerson on July 6th 1957. They enjoyed their  62 years raising a family and spending time together. Bob worked in the grocery business including managing stores in Duluth and Superior. 

He spent 12 years of retirement in the Arizona sun, playing golf before returning back home to Duluth. Throughout his life he was an avid fisherman, especially fishing for trout in the North Shore streams. He enjoyed an active life with family and friends.

Bob was preceded in death by his parents, John and Eva; and brothers, John, Harris and George.

He is survived by his wife, Bev; children Dwane (Sandi), Craig, and Linda; grandchildren, Matthew, Robert, Sara, Jeff, Ben, Luke, and Scott; great-grandchildren, Jethro, Rosalie, and Jack. Bob will be missed by all.

The family would like to thank St. Luke’s I.C.U., hospice and Bob’s doctors and nurses for their wonderful care.
