Patricia Joy Ario

Patricia Joy Ario, 98, passed away peacefully on Friday October 18, 2019. She was born on June 19, 1921 to Paul and Edythe (Anderson) Neumann in Chisholm, MN, moving to Duluth when she was young.

Pat married Richard Ario on November 7, 1942 at Fort Leonard Wood Army Base and they were married 50 years, until his death in 1992.

Pat is preceded in death by her parents; brother, Paul Donald Neumann of Tennessee, and her husband, Richard. She is survived by her son, John (Karen) Ario, son, Stephen (Judith) Ario, and daughter, Kathleen (Russ, deceased) Myers. She had 11 grandchildren, 21 great grandchildren, 3 great-great grandchildren. She will be missed by her best friend Bea Wenck and surviving family and friends. A special thank you to her caregivers at Chris Jensen Memory Care Unit these last few years.

Her beloved Trinity Lutheran Church will be hosting her visitation at noon, with service to follow at 1pm on Saturday October 26, 2019. Fellowship and desserts to follow. Memorials are preferred to Trinity Lutheran Church. Arrangements by Bell Brothers Jarvi Dowd Funeral Home.
