Marliss A. Westenfield, age 89 of Fridley. Died on Monday January 17, 2022. Proud graduate of Duluth Central High School and resident of Fridley for over 60 years. Marliss was a long-time employee of the Golden Valley School District and an avid supporter of U of M Gopher athletics. Survived by son & daughter-in-law Otto III (Otty) and Mary Beth of Medway, MA; Karl & Denise of Eden Prairie; sister Bonnie Roth of Duluth; brother-in-law Joe Westenfield of Fridley; nephew Derek Roth of Houlton, WI; and eight grandchildren, Otto IV (Skip), Meghan, Katherine (Kate), Connor & Brianna; Kristen, David & Erik. Proceeded in death by husbands Steven Hurd and Otto G. Westenfield, Jr.; brother-in-law Donald Roth; nephew Douglas Roth. Gathering of friends and family on Friday, January 21st from 12:30-1:30pm, immediately followed by a service at 1:30pm, both at St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church, 2300 Hamline Ave N., Roseville. Interment at Memorial Gardens, Coon Rapids. Memorials can be made to St. Christopher’s Episcopal Church.
