Lois M. Staples

Lois M. Staples, 94, beloved wife, mother and grandmother, passed away peacefully on Saturday, March 5th, at Lake View Memorial Hospital in Two Harbors. Lois was born on December 24, 1927, to Emil and Esther Anderson in Grand Marais, MN.  She was happily married to her late husband, Obern D. Staples for 66 years.   Lois was a very active member of Emmanuel Lutheran Church, where she especially enjoyed the Peacemakers quilting group.  Over the years, she enjoyed curling, golfing, and spending time with her family.   She is survived by her five daughters: Sandra (Bruce) Jordan, Annette (David) Forsell, Rosemary (Duane) Heber, Sharon (Brian) Pelander, and Jacqueline (David) Stanko, 12 grandchildren, and 8 great grandchildren. Graveside service will be held Saturday, May 14th, at l:00 pm. A reception will be held at Emmanuel Lutheran Church following the service.   Lois’s family would like to thank the staff of Waterview Shores, Lake View Memorial Hospital, and St. Luke’s Hospice for the compassionate care she received.
