Donnie was born on August 24th, 1954 in Duluth, MN to Donald and Hilda Watkins. He grew up in Culver, MN with his parents and siblings. He married the love of his life, Sandy, on February 3rd, 1979. Don lived a life full of humor, fun and no regret. Anyone that knew him will forever hold a “Donnie Watkins” story. One did not spend time with him without laughing until it hurt. Wherever he was, a party was sure to follow. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, and traveling. He was most at peace on the beach of Lake Havasu or on the lake at the cabin. He enjoyed taking rides on his side by side and exploring all of nature. One of his favorite things to do was pick agates wherever he went. Most of all, Don loved being with his family and creating memories. His four grandchildren were the apples of his eye and brought him joy beyond measure. He created a beautiful life of togetherness and love for his family.
