Leo Lester Lenzen, age 83, lost his battle with Covid 19 on December 10, 2020 at St. Lukes Hospital in Duluth, MN.
Leo was born March 29, 1937 to Raymond and Adeline Lenzen.
He was a United States Marine in the Korean war era and earned the label of Atomic Veteran, as he was a witness to one of the first live atomic detonations.
Leo’s work career included being a deputy sheriff, a General Motors service rep, a technical service rep for Amsoil, and he was an ariel equipment demonstrator for Reachall/Altec when he retired.
Leo’s biggest enjoyment in life was fishing. He fished in many places including Alaska, Canada, and Florida to name a few.
Leo was preceded in death by his parents, Raymond and Adeline, brother Robert, sisters Lois and Rose, and his eldest son Robert.
He is survived by his former wife Barbara, children Bruce (Karen) Paul (Rita) Brenda (David Dallmann) daughter-in-law Pam, As well as his brother Joseph (Jan), sisters Mary (Marshall Williams) Theresa (the late Chuck Salden) and many grandchildren and great grandchildren and nieces and nephews.
Leo was honored with a full military service at his final resting place, the Minnesota State Veterans Cemetery in Saginaw, MN.
He was greatly loved and will surely be missed.
