Delores “Lori” Olga Hermerding

Delores “Lori” Olga Hermerding, 95, was a ten-year resident of Middle River Health and Rehabilitation Center in South Range, WI and formerly of Duluth, MN. She passed away on December 26, 2020 after a short bout with the Covid-19 virus.

Delores was born in Clearbrook, MN to Eddie and Ella Steenerson. She was a graduate of Clearbrook High School, and was known there as a sure shot on the girls basketball team. After high school, Delores moved to California for a few years, and then moved back to MN where she became a private duty nurse. After her retirement from nursing, she and Marvin took over management of and lived at a senior living apartment complex north of Duluth.

Delores was preceded in death by her husband, Marvin Hermerding; parents; and sister, Janice.

Delores is survived by her children, Michael Bailey, Michelle Linden, Daniel Bailey, Eddie Bailey, Mark Bailey and Paul Bailey; grandchildren, Matthew Fick, Andrea McCartney, Janelle Bailey, Curtis Bailey, Christopher Bailey, Benjamin Bailey and Deann Bailey; and great-grandchildren, David Fick, Robert Fick, Jesse McCartney, Caitlin McCartney, Luke McCartney, Connal McCartney, Skyler Bailey, Alicia Graumann, Kayla Stensrud, Jaiden Bailey and Julia Bailey.

Due to Covid restrictions, a memorial service will be held at a later date.
