Rose “Dede” Parenteau, age 86 of Cloquet, passed away on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at Essentia St. Mary’s Medical Center in Duluth surrounded by her family. She was born on August 13, 1933 to Harold and Leona (Mayer) Bellingham in Cloquet. Dede was a 1951 graduate of Cloquet High School. She was united in marriage to Philip Parenteau on September 29, 1951. Dede was a loyal member of St. Mary and Joseph Catholic Church in Sawyer, where she volunteered with the guild for many years.
Rose is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Philip in 2013; and her sister, Bobby Ostoff. She is survived by her sons, Michael (Rozanne), Richard, Philip (Laura), Patrick (Karla), John and Mark (Heather) Parenteau; daughters Cheryl Easterday, Mary (Roger) Ollila, and Laurie Lang; sisters, Joan (George) Carlson and Jean Newton; brother, Herbert (Mary Lou) Bellingham; sister-in-law, Charlene Parenteau; 16 grandchildren; 16 great-grandchildren; two great-great-grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.
