Evan Reiner Raushel, 22, of Aitkin, passed away Friday, December 6, 2019 at his home unexpectedly from complications of his epilepsy. Evan was born December 26, 1996 in Aitkin to Doug and Jan (Reiner) Raushel. Evan graduated from Aitkin and went to work at the DAC in McGregor. Evan loved teasing his mom with his classic grin that showed off his dimple as he got ready for work. He loved watching football with his dad every Sunday. He spent many times helping shovel snow, raking leaves and cutting the grass. The last couple years he spent most of March in Florida at the beach with his family. Evan also enjoyed playing PlayStation everyday after work. He adored his brother and sister, thinking they were the coolest. Evan insisted his sister-in-law, Melissa read him a Berenstain Bears story before bed when together. Evan was a special child born the day after Christmas to the best mom anyone could want. She never complained and was always at his side for the good and the bad times. They had an unbreakable bond. Evan had many friends and was loved by all that met him. He will be greatly missed. He enjoyed going out with his friends to Monday dances, Tuesday bowling and movie nights. And don’t forget cheese burgers and cheese sticks at the 40 Club most Friday nights. We will dearly miss his sense of humor. He always had a positive attitude and never complained of how many doctors’ visits and pills he had to take every day. Evan will be dearly missed by all who knew him.
Evan is preceded in death by his grandparents, Frank and Mae Raushel and Rosemary and Alfred Reiner.
Evan is survived by his devoted and loving parents, Doug and Jan; brother, Eric; sister, Ellen (Melissa); niece, Eloise; aunts, uncles, cousins and many friends who loved Evan.
