Norman H. Behm

Norman Howard Behm, 92, lifelong resident of Duluth died peacefully Friday, June 12th at his Keystone Bluffs residence. He was born January 15, 1928 to Walter and Nora (Bode) Behm in Faribault, MN, the family later moved to Duluth.

Norm graduated from Morgan Park High School. After graduation, he joined the Marines and was stationed in San Diego, CA. He married Shirley Dunsmoor in 1948 in California. They resided in Fond du Lac for many years.  He worked for US Steel in Duluth and Mt. Iron for 37 years. After retiring, Norm was a delivery driver for NAPA Auto Parts for 25 years.

Norm was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Shirley and brother, Eugene. He is survived by his daughter, Denise (Rick) Peterson; sons, Kevin (Kathy) and Randy (Tom McGuinness); grandchildren, Kari (Jason) Rengo, Kylie (Kyle) Davis, Erica (Mike) Palmer; great-grandchildren, Kayden, Karter and Kalysta Rengo and Ella and Nolan Palmer; and brothers, Wesley (Wilma) and Walter (Shirley).

We would like to extend a special thank you to the nurses and staff at Keystone Bluffs for the exceptional care Norm received during the time he lived there, and a sincere thank you to Steven from Essentia for his help while Norm was in hospice.

A family service will be held in July.  Arrangements by the Cremation Society of Minnesota Duluth.
