Michael Olaf Scouton, Sr

Michael Olaf Scouton Sr, 62, passed away on February 4, 2021 at Solvay Hospice House. He was born in Duluth on May 7, 1958 to Frank Sr and Joan Scouton. 

Mike grew up in Twig, MN. He was a hard-working Logger and Laborer, ending his career as a Concrete Finisher. He was a well-rounded artist, painting with acrylic on canvas, rocks and saws and also enjoyed wood burning and carving. He enjoyed watching football (especially the Vikings), Painting with Bob Ross, Home Improvement and MASH. Cribbage was a favorite game of his. He enlisted in the Army in 1978, spending 18 months in South Korea, being honorably discharged in 1981.

Mike is preceded in death by his parents, brothers Doug and Larry, brother in law Mike Salo and nephew Dougie Scouton. He is survived by his children Sandra (Joshua) Schubitzke, Michael Jr (Melissa), Penny (Kevin) Jackson and Ashley (Alex) Luedtke, 10 grandchildren and 1 great granddaughter. He is also survived by his siblings Frank Jr, Carla and Debbie, many nieces and nephews and friends. Especially his close friend, James Perlich.

Mike gave the gift of body donation to the University of Minnesota Anatomy Bequest Program. Per his request, no funeral service will be held.
