Mark Alan Overland

Mark Alan Overland, Duluth, died suddenly on April 6, 2020, of a massive heart attack. He was 70 years old. He is survived by his wife Catherine, his son Cory and wife Karen Kennedy of Miami, Florida, his daughter, Eve Overland of Stone Mountain, Georgia, and his son Aaron and wife Cicely Schramm of Ann Arbor, Michigan, and their daughter, Zinnia. He is also survived by his brother Greig and wife Valerie, his beloved nieces and nephews and their families, and his “choir kids” from over 27 years of teaching.

He was preceded in death by his parents Betty June and Arthur E. Overland, and his brothers Wayne and Scott Overland, and his beloved golden retrievers, Pokey, Max, Banner and Lily.

Details of the celebration of his life will be made public when it is safe for us all to gather again. His family wishes to extend their sincere thanks for the outpouring of love and support from friends, colleagues, students and community.
