Lois P. Olson

Lois Olson, 89, of Duluth, died peacefully Wednesday, July 15, 2020 at St. Luke’s Hospital. Lois was born July 30, 1930 in Duluth to Lloyd and Ethel (Johnson) Rehbein. She married Donald T. Olson on April 24, 1951. She was a Homemaker. Lois loved to knit, sew, and make puzzles. She also enjoyed 41 years at her cabin on Island Lake, being a member of the Otter River Road Association. She was a former member of the Homecroft Presbyterian Church; she was active in Community Bible Study (CBS), Homemakers Club, and Blitz - a card club with friends that go back to grade school. Lois is preceded in death by her parents, husband, brothers Orlin and Alton Rehbein, grandsons Doug Olson and Lee Olson. Lois is survived by her children Rick (Betty) Olson of Duluth, Greg (Val) Olson of Hermantown, Judy (E. David) Neufeld of Magnolia, Texas, Linda (Terry) Christensen of Duluth and Mike (Jana) Olson of Esko; grandchildren David Olson, Erik and Roxanne Neufeld, Cory Christensen, and Jessica and Sara Olson; great-grandchildren Heather and Zach Olson, and Devin, Destinee and Milo Olson; and her sister Beth Haakensen. The family would like to thank Jessica and Addie for making it possible for Lois to spend the last four months of her life at home. The same home she and Don raised their children in. She will be greatly missed by her family and many lifelong friends. Burial will be next to her husband at Forest Hill Cemetery. A private family service will be held.
