Lois M. Larson
Lois Larson, 87, of Beaver Bay died on Monday, June 15, 2020 at Bayshore Health in Duluth.
She was born to Theodore and Lillian (Enmark) LaFrenier on January 30, 1933 in Mahnomen. Lois and her family moved to Beaver Bay in the early 1960βs where she was employed as the head cook at the Beaver Bay Inn for many years and later at the Silver Bay Golf Course Country Club.
Lois enjoyed commercial fishing with her long-time companion Jim Peterson and spent countless hours volunteering for social activities at St. Maryβs Catholic Church where she was a member.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Melvin; long-time companion, Jim Peterson; sons, Larry, Alan, Danny, and Dale; and her siblings.
Lois is survived by children Cynthia (Ron) Foust and Tim (Cindy) Larson; numerous grandchildren and great-grandchildren; and a large extended family.
