LeeAnn Guerndt

LeeAnn Guerndt, 72, passed away June 20, 2020 after a brief battle with pancreatic cancer. She was born July 26, 1947 to Kenneth and Laverne (Melander) Akerstrom in Duluth, MN.

LeeAnn graduated from Central High School, class of 1965. She married Dennis Guerndt December 13, 1975. LeeAnn worked as a CNA, and was passionate about helping others. She was a tireless cheerleader for ‘her boys’, watching them play baseball and softball. LeeAnn was a strong woman with a direct manner, her heart was large and her swedish meatballs were excellent. She will be dearly missed by all who knew her.

She is preceded in death by; husband Dennis Guerndt; her parents; and brother David Akerstrom.

LeeAnn is survived by; two sons Rick (Karen) Guerndt, Danny Guerndt; grandchildren Ellen and Nathan; sister-in-law Tina Akerstrom; extended family and numerous nieces, nephews, and friends.

The family would like to thank St. Luke’s 7 West and hospice for all the care they gave LeeAnn.

The family will be having a private service.
