John “Jay” C. Tarnowski

John “Jay” C. Tarnowski, 74, of St. Louis Park, died June 13th. Jay was born Sept. 18, 1945 in Duluth to John E. and Marjory (Barron) Tarnowski at St. Mary’s Hospital. He graduated from Duluth Cathedral, class of 1973. and attended Duluth Business University. He moved to Minneapolis area working for Cargill. Jay was a member of St. Mary Star of the Sea and its Men’ Club. He also was a member of the St. Stanislaus Kostka Society. Jay volunteered at Meals-On-Wheels in St. Louis Park. He enjoyed going to casinos and loved Mickey Mouse.
He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Marjory.
Jay is survived by his sisters, Mary Joan Tarnowski and Kathy Tarnowski.
Jay is also survived by his aunt, Marge Barron; cousin, Jeanne Pons, several Eaton, Barron, Ogston cousins and several Andersen almost cousins. Also survived by good friends, Brad Dominick, Karla Nicklaus and Tom Nagasawa.
The family would like to thank the Villa at St. Louis Park and Methodist Hospice for their loving care of our brother.
Visitation will begin Friday at 9:30am with Mass of Christian Burial at 10:30am at St. Mary Star of the Sea Church, 325 E 3rd St. Duluth, MN. Burial at Calvary Cemetery.
