Jeanette M. Guite

Jeanette M. Guite, 98, of Carlton, went to meet her Savior and join her loved ones on June 3, 2020. She was born July 30, 1921 in Carlton to George and Florence (Ribbey) Pringle. She graduated from Carlton High School in 1938. Jeanette worked at a coffee shop in Moose Lake after high school. She married Raymond J. Guite, on December 24, 1944 in Duluth and together they worked their farm and raised four children.

Jeanette was a very sweet, caring person whose life centered on her family, church, and farm. Her family was the love and joy of her life and she enjoyed making food for them and for those in need, including baking and sharing her delicious apple pies. People enjoyed her gift of singing and playing guitar at special social events with her sister Beatrice.

Jeanette was preceded in death by her husband, Raymond; brother, Donald Pringle; sister, Beatrice Oman; son-in-law, Don Ginn; and two nephews, Darrel Oman and Richard Oman.

She is survived by her children, Mike (Georgia) Guite of Cloquet; Dave (Joan) Guite of Barnum; Diane Paschal of Dallas, TX; and Linda Ginn of Omaha, Nebraska; eight grandchildren; and 11 great-grandchildren; two special nieces, Darlene (Richard) Okerlund of Esko and Carol Westendorf, of Barnum; and other nephews and nieces by marriage.

The family wishes to thank the nurses and staff in Inter-Faith Care Center for their excellent care these past years.

Private family services will be held in Elim Lutheran Church. Burial will be in Elim Lutheran Cemetery.
