James Joseph Warmington

James Joseph Warmington, 20, concluded the final chapter of his life on October 25th, 2019 at his home.
James, the first son of Don and Joanna Warmington, was born in Duluth on March 5th, 1999. He attended Hermantown and Denfeld High Schools, where he showed his competitive passion for hockey at the youth and high school level. James enjoyed music and the outdoors, and he will forever be remembered for expressing his joyful, energetic and creative spirit – whether it be trudging through mud puddles or at any moment completely transforming from a Power Ranger, to a professional wrestler, to a singer or an all-star knee hockey player. His smile and laughter were infectious. James’ energy was matched only by his intensive sensitivity – which defined his spirit but was also the burden he carried in life.
James is survived by his parents; brother, Mitchell, whom he loved; on his paternal side: grandparents, Joan and Jim; uncles, Gary, Mike, and Todd; aunts, Teri, Karla, and Tia; and seven cousins; on his maternal side: grandparents, Mary and Carl; uncles, Tom, Paul, Mark, and Eric; aunts, Jenny, Leya, and Chris; and eight cousins. Mike Grandmaison was also an instrumental influence during James life, and will always be remembered for his patience and love of James. No one loved James more than his family.
A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, November 2nd at Sunrise Funeral Home, 4798 Miller Trunk Hwy.
