Glenn Coyle

Glenn Coyle, 86 of Duluth peacefully passed May 15. He was born in Tracy, MN on June 23, 1933 to Harold & Ethel (Anderson) Coyle. He was raised in Garvin, MN. He Graduated in 1952 from Tracy High School. He enlisted in the U.S. Army in 1953 and was stationed in Germany until 1956. He married Barbara Filkins on June 10, 1957. He graduated from South Dakota State University in 1960 with a BA in Business administration He began his career as a Revenue Officer with the Internal Revenue Service in the Minneapolis Office in 1960. He transferred to the Duluth Office of the IRS in 1961 where he stayed until his retirement in 1988. He was a member of Glen Avon Presbyterian Church. Glenn enjoyed travel, making wine, fishing and spending time with family at their cabin on Eagle Lake in Cromwell. He i s preceded in Death by his Parents, Brothers Francis, George-Donald, Robert, Maurice and Sister Betty Clark. Son Brian Coyle. Glenn is survived by his wife of 63 years Barbara, Children Kevin Coyle (Debbie) of Rochester, MN, Melinda King (Mike) of Superior, WI. Grandchildren Amanda Peaslee (Mark) of Wenatchee, WA, Jacob Coyle of Proctor, Sarah Coyle of Duluth, Jason Coyle of Rochester and Ailie King of Superior, WI. Great Grandchildren Otto, Britta and Odin Peaslee of Wenatchee, WA. His oldest sister Isabel Salmons of Ojai, CA.
His family will honor him at Glen Avon Presbyterian Memorial Garden. A celebration of his life will be held at a future date.
