Dona May Syria

Dona May Syria., 96, Duluth, Minn., died Wednesday July 1, in Hospice at Chris Jensen Health & Rehabilitation Center.

Dona May was preceded in death by her parents Edwin L. & Anna S. Berg, husband, Reynold E. Syria, in 2009 after 59 years of marriage; sisters, Martha (Berg) Burkhart, Francis M. (Berg) Albright, LaVerne A. (Berg) Letsos – Onstad; and brother, Leonard E. Berg; daughter, Janice Kay Nordlund, and infant son, Mark Lee Syria. Dona May was also preceded in death by her first husband, Clarence Nordlund, in 1946.

Dona May is survived by, daughters, Diane Ericksen and Susan Syria; sons, Dennis Nordlund, Jim (Cindy) Syria, & Gary (Tina) Syria; 15 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.

Dona May will be dearly missed by all that knew her.

Due to the current health concerns of the nation, there will be no public service or visitation.
