DIANNE LEE IRVIN

Age 68, of Phoenix, AZ passed away on September 19 after suffering from a long illness and complications from a recent stroke. She spent her formative years in Duluth, MN attending Cathedral High School (Class of ’70) where she was a gifted young tennis athlete, winning numerous tournaments and regional competitions until a winter recreational accident ended her blossoming career. She was also a gifted musician, giving piano and voice lessons to many young prodigies. Upon earning an English degree at the University of Minnesota, she relocated to Phoenix 40 years ago after experiencing one too many Minnesota winters. She retired from a successful career as an Investment Advisor for a major investment firm. Preceded in death by her parents, Melvin and Kathryn (Kerr) Irvin (Sun City West AZ) and two very beloved Shih Tzus, she is survived by her 6 sisters: Colleen Irvin (Melbourne Aus), Karen Colbert (Thomas, Goodyear AZ), Susanne Kalen (Loveland CO), Christine Bunting (Lee, Kennett Square PA), Patricia Bailado (Maurice, Lakewood CO) and Margaret Baker (John, Parker CO), ten of her favorite nieces and nephews and her fun loving Irvin cousins. A special Thank You to her personal assistant and long term loyal caregiver, Destiny Anderson, who stayed with her throughout some difficult times, her sensitive healthcare giver, Michelle Erazo, and also her very helpful medical caregiver, Nurse Claudia Damanhuri. Due to travel and COVID limitations, services and disposition of ashes will be determined at a later time.
