Brian James Thoreson

Brian James Thoreson, 48, of Cape Coral, Florida passed away surrounded by his family on September 8, 2021 due to complications of Covid-19. 

He was born on April 3, 1973 to James and Claudia Thoreson in Duluth MN. Brian was a 1991 graduate of Duluth Central. He was a devoted husband, father, and member of his community. Residing most of his life in Fredenberg Township, he was active member on the Volunteer Fire and Rescue Dept. Brian loved riding his Harley Davidson, house DIY projects, and camping in Moose Lake. Brian was known for his amazing smoked salmon and ribs. Brian worked for Waste Pro., in Fort. Myers, Fl. as their District Fleet Manager and always said that “Garbage is Gold”.

Brian was proceeded in death by his mother Claudia Mae Thoreson, and grandparents.

Brian leaves behind his middle school sweetheart Traci Thoreson, his children Abigail Thoreson (Kassidy), Tyler Thoreson (London), and Trevor Thoreson (Mckenzy); along with, father James Thoreson; sister Shelley Scott (Joe); mother-in-law Tommi Wedin; sister-in-law Terri Wedin, four special nieces and nephews, and his Rottweilers Stella & Ruby. Celebration of life to follow at a later date.
