Bea Murphy passed away on Christmas morning. A beautiful day to go to heaven, the  angels were calling!

Bea was born in Duluth, MN , Feb. 28, 1945 to Leo and Violet Murphy. She was raised in Duluth, attended St. Anthony’s Church and school and graduated in 1962 from Stanbrook Hall. She was employed as a teller at Northern City National Bank.  In 1964 she married John Pearson. She moved with her children to Federal Way, WA in 1979 where she enjoyed a successful career with Corporate SuperValu. More importantly to her, she became the Matriarch of her loving family.

Growing up she was loved by her family. Being one of the three Bs (Bea, Barb, and Bev), and oldest sister, she set the bar high with her courage, strength and love. She loved her baby brother, John, and she had a close relationship with her older brother, Mike, bonding as the two red-headed kids in the family.

She was preceded in death by her parents, brothers Mike and John, and first grandchild, Stuart. She and Stuart always had a special bond. Sadly in May of 2020, Stuart passed away at the age of 31. The family takes great comfort in knowing that they are together again.

She is survived by her three children, Barbara Jill (Bruce) Patterson, Ron (Brandi) Pearson, and Wendy (Blake) Andersen all of the Seattle area, her grandchildren Emily(Jordan) Cockle, Amanda Weller, Jacob Weller, Bella Pearson, Layla Pearson, Vivian Andersen and great-grandson Hudson. She is also survived by her two sisters Barb (Laird) Erikson, Bev (David) Beaudette, sister-in-law Connie Murphy and many nieces and nephews who truly loved their Aunty Bea.

Bea loved coming home to Duluth, Lake Superior (the North Shore), coffee, reading, walking, wine and her dog Harley. In the end Alzheimer’s ravaged her brain and body, but could not ravage her heart. Bea continued to smile and shine bright when her family was with her, they were fortunate to be with her in her final days.  Rest in peace, Bea, fly free, we love you!
