Arlene G. Thomas, 83 of Duluth died Wednesday, July 29, 2020. Arlene was born April 6, 1937 in Duluth to Archie and Gladys Rappana. She was a Graduate of Duluth Denfeld and attended UMD. Arlene met Ron Thomas and they were married in Aug. of 1957. Arlene and Ron made their home on the North Shore near Silver Bay, where they were members of United Protestant Church. She moved to Duluth in 1991. Arlene was a member of the Beta Sigma Phi Sorority and Job’s Daughters; she attended Pilgrim Congregational Church; served on the board of Aftenro Home and she enjoyed playing Bridge. Most of all she loved spending time with her family at the cabin on Fish Lake, watching her boys and her grandchildren’s sporting events and listening to the Minnesota Twins.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Archie and Gladys; brothers, Duane and Dale Rappana and her husband, Ron in 1980. Daughter in law Michele Thomas.

Arlene is survived by her sons, Ryan, Mike (Kelli), Cory (Anne) and Kyle (Gerilyn) Thomas; her grandchildren, Cole, Lacy, Jared, Jace, Jordyn, Justin, Derek, Nikki, Branden, Kennedy and Kaylee; four great grandchildren; siblings, Glady (Wally) Aunan and Larry (Lynn) Rappana, Sister in law Jerine Strommer and many nieces and nephews.
