Robert Dale Hansey, 80, of Duluth died peacefully at St. Luke's Hospital surrounded by his family on November 7, 2018.

Robert was born March 14, 1938 to Alford & Bernice Hansey. He grew up and lived in Duluth, graduated from Denfeld High School in 1956. Robert was married to Glois A. Anderson in 1961. They were happily married for 15 years until her passing in 1975. Robert then re-married Myrna Beaudreau in 1976. She passed away in 1999. Later in life, he also found a very special friend, Norma Lindquist, and very much enjoyed spending time together with her.

Robert retired from the DTA on October 8, 1999. Robert had many devoted riders who called him by name, even to this day, riders remember "Bob". Robert was a devoted husband, father and grandfather. He got the most joy from being with his children and grandchildren. Robert was a former member of Haven Evangelical Church in Duluth where he worshipped for many years. Robert will be remembered for his smile and sense of humor and very generous heart. He enjoyed traveling and many road trips with family and friends. He will be dearly missed by everyone who knew him.

Robert is preceded in death by his brother Donald Hansey in 2001 & his sister Pat Wilson in 2015.

Robert is survived by his daughter Lynn Hawes (Bryon); grandson Andrew Greaves (Alanna). Bob's family very much appreciated all the special care he received at Lakeshore & St. Luke's hospital. At his request, a private family gathering will take place, no services will be held.
