Jane Wilson Tario

Jane Wilson Tario, age 91 passed away on Tuesday, May 15, 2018 at Inter-Faith Care Center in Carlton, MN. Jane Bea Fay was born to Leo T. Fay and Keeoka B. (Batson) Fay on March 10, 1927 in Duluth MN, the second of three children.

Their early homes were in Wales, MN, Cloquet, Tower and Brainerd MN, before settling back in Cloquet where she graduated from High School in 1945. She attended beauty school in Duluth and began work as a hair dresser in Duluth, commuting from Cloquet. Following World War II car gasoline was still rationed, and commuters needed to haul passengers in order to receive gas coupons. Her commuter driver was Roy Wilson. Jane married Roy C. Wilson October 7, 1950 in Duluth, with her parents and younger brother, Tom (in charge of rice) in attendance.

Roy and Jane raised four boys at the end of Spring Lake Road in Cloquet. Jane was Cub Scout Den Mother for all the boys, and was a Sunday school teacher at the 1st Presbyterian Church of Cloquet, where she was a lifetime member, serving on the church Session, and as an active volunteer. She was also a member of the Order of the Eastern Star. Jane followed her Mom career with 12 years as an employee of the First National Bank of Cloquet, retiring in 1988. Her husband Roy passed in 1991, and Jane married Fred Tario in 1997. Fred passed in 2004.

Jane was preceded in death by her parents; her husbands; her brother Roy M. Fay; and numerous aunts, uncles and cousins. She is survived by her sister-in-law Esther Fay of Champaign Ill; brother Thomas L. (Cecelia) Fay and son Phillip of Rockford, Ill; sons Curtis R. (Lisa) of Pleasant Valley, NY, Keith L. of Huntsville, AL, Ross N. of Chippewa Falls, WI and Joel D. of Cloquet, MN. Grandchildren include Julie Miller of Goodland, MN, Zoe Wilson of Stamford, CT, Sarah (Greg) Partridge of Atlanta, GA, Ryan Wilson of Huntsville, AL, Jennifer Milbrandt of Forest Lake, MN, Laura Wilson, Shoreview, MN and Nancy (Craig) Korpela, Shoreview, MN. Great-grandchildren include Kyra and Sam Miller of Goodland, MN and Isaac Korpela of Shoreview, MN, along with numerous cousins, nieces and nephews.

Our family offers most heartfelt thanks to the staff of Inter-Faith Care Center, Carlton, MN, Jane's home for the past 5+ years. Your undying care, compassion and love for Jane will never be forgotten.

A Memorial Service will be held 11:00 a.m. Tuesday, May 22, 2018 at the Presbyterian Church of Cloquet, with a visitation one hour prior to the service in the church.
