Great friend will really miss you and your guidance
Thank you to the Battaglia family for sharing Dave with us. He was a great leader and friend.
A very good friend.
I am so very sorry to see this great Two Harbors leader leave us. You will be missed Mayor David. You were a friend to many. Signed: Morgan
Friends for many years, Dave was one of the most practical, laid back members of the House of Represestatives who always got the job done. We shared a room at St. Mary's in the Recovery Room after by-pass surgery and helped each other relax with funny stories, (back in 1986) God will also appreciate the company of Dave. Eli Miletich, Duluth
I sure enjoyed Dave while working for the City of Ely as an active member of the local development council. Many spirited debates and memories that will not be forgotten. My best wishes to the family as Dave was just a great person!!
A kind, wonderful man who gave so much to our community and state. He advised my Father on his political service, and was always a good friend. Dave, you will be missed
So many of the things we take for granted in our North Shore communities are because Dave worked so hard for us in the Minnesota legislature. The Dave Battaglia and Doug Johnson team was fearsome. As a school board member we had a connection and I will always be thankful that he continually worked for our schools and supported the workforce in our community. We enjoyed his visits to our business in Schroeder where he and my Dad traded stories. He was one of the good guys..
Sending sincere condolences to the Battaglia Family with much appreciation for Dave's sturdy, long-lived, and deep stewardship of the North Shore and the State of Minnesota. From the Elmer L. Andersen Family
Jeanne and family, I had the honor to serve with David in the legislature during his last few terms. He was truly a caring person who worked hard for others. You are in my thoughts and prayers at this time of loss. John Marty
