SUZIE (LeGARDE) MENZ
On Tuesday, Oct. 13, Suzie (LeGarde) Menz departed from our family here on Earth to start her new job baking her wonderful cookies for the Angels in Heaven. They will soon realize how lucky they are.
Suzie was a special kind of person, the light in the room, the first to laugh, and always there to lift you up and make things better. A loving and caring daughter, sister, wife, aunt, mother, and grandmother; she was always there with a hug and a smile.
An avid photographer, her pictures were a documentary of our family's lives and love. She captured the essence of what it is to be a family!
Our sorrow is deep, but going forward we will strive to be how she taught us to be - living, laughing, caring!
God bless you and keep you, my love.
Our family would like to thank the police, paramedics, and staff at Essentia for their heroic efforts in attempting to save her. You are all Angels!
She was preceded in death by her father, Jerry LeGarde; parents-in-law, Richard (Marion) Menz; brothers-in-law: Mike Gerber, Judd Lien; and grandparents, Lauritz (Carmella) Stovern.
Suzie is survived by her husband, Rick; children, Laurie Menz (Erik Beckwith), Derek "Stu" (Tricia); grandchildren: Benjamin Vigness, Katie Beckwith, Tommy Menz and Baby Boy Menz, due in February; mother, Patricia LeGarde; siblings: Linda (Tim Grover), Janet LeGarde (Jim Shonk), Nancy Gerber, Jerry (Cindy), Colleen LeGarde (Steve Warnygora), Gail (Dean) Birman, Jeanne (Don) Warttman, Jim (Molly), John (Barb), Joe (Laurie), Dennis (Sarah), David (Jennifer Hawkins), Tim (Mandy); sisters-in-law: Kathy (Don) Malloy, Beth, Mary (Tim) Baldwin; brothers-in-law: John (Joanne), Jim, and Bill; numerous nieces and nephews; their families, Jamie Vigness; and special friend, Roni Town.
