The Minnesota firearms deer hunting season begins Nov. 6, and as usual, the United Northern Sportsman’s Club is opening its rifle range to the public for deer rifle sight-in on several days over the next few weeks.

Cost is $5 per gun and hours are 8 a.m. until a half-hour before sunset. Open dates include Oct. 16-17, Oct. 23-24 and every day Oct. 30 to Nov. 5.

Bring eye and ear protection and a gun case. The range is located on the club's grounds along Island Lake about 20 minutes north of Duluth on St. Louis County Highway 4, or Rice Lake Road. For more information, go to unitednorthernsportsmen.org.
